Hi, my name is Mana De Alba and I'm a contemporary artist. My paintings are an exploration of the raw, desperate, and collective desire to connect; with the use of the facial and physical expression as a means to reveal a message that changes with each view. My work is harsh, liquid, surreal: creating a conversation with the viewer, inviting to self-awareness and discovery.
I picture our anatomy as a glimpse of our life, my portraits often show their teeth as is the only part of our bone structure that is exposed and vulnerable.
I’ve been working as a contemporary artist since 2013. I live in Guadalajara, Mexico. Currently working with my first solo exhibition with Cabezas Cuadradas Art Collective and my most recent group exhibition was Musas Creadoras with La Ola Purpura in June 2019.
