Sphenoid Apprehension

This piece was made while my grandmother was at the hospital a few months ago, she fell and got diagnosed with embolia. it made from all the feelings regarding my own suffering; seeing her become consumed by her own body and the desire to let go of something you dont want to let go, not really. The bones come from a part of the skull called sphenoid and the metal intruments are used in labor. In the back is the hand of destiny hidden in the background. She has the same eye color.
